Rescheduled TOA Annual Meeting

TOA Homeowners,

The Hayfield Secondary School System announced their back to school town hall schedule which conflicts with our annual meeting originally scheduled for next Wed, August 26th. Several families in our neighborhood are affected so the Board has decided to move the meeting to September 1 at 7:00PM. Daniele will send out updated information for the new date to join the Zoom Meeting by computer or telephone. Please let the Board know if you prefer to participate in person “live” and we will make arrangements.

Since the initial announcement we discovered new association requirements that we need ensure are included in the TOA Articles of Incorporation, Notice to Buyers, Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions, By-Laws, Architectural Standards and Guidelines and the Architectural Review Application. For example, we cannot restrict posting of political signs on our lots although we can restrict the size which the Board intends to define based on our current sign size guidelines of no more by 18 inches by 24 inches. At the meeting the Board would like to discuss forming a committee and/or hiring a lawyer to make sure our documents are compliant in accordance with Virginia law.

We now have two volunteers interested in joining the board but there are no restrictions on additional volunteers or the size of the Board.

Please let us know if you have any questions or if there are any concerns with the new meeting date. If you cannot participate in the meeting please fill out the proxy on the website and provide to the homeowner you designate to vote on your behalf.
